Here you will find information on the Bailey Blade XTR and the story of how an ordinary guy, Neal Bailey, has set forth the commitment to bring his dream car into reality. In times like these that is no easy task.   He is creating a unique high performance sports car that captures the look and feel of classic styling, while paying special attention to the driver and the driving experience.  His company, BXR Motors, was established to bring the Bailey Blade, and numerous other cars Neal has imagined, into reality.

The Blade XTR is a small lightweight 101″ wheelbase sports car with a wide stance. It is designed to cradle hi-performance American engines such as the Ford 5.4L supercharged V8 and the new Coyote 5.0L supercharged or twin turbo engines. The engine is front mounted and configured in such a way with the Chassis and push rod suspension that will have 50/50 weight ratio and performance characteristics  much like a mid engine performance car. The Body and some chassis components will be made of Carbon-Fiber composites and light weight materials keeping the total cars weight down to a minimum while still providing a strong platform that meets safety standards.

BXR’s goal is to keep the Blade XTR simple and drivable for people who like to drive their cars… instead of their cars driving them. The driver’s experience is one of the main focus for the new sports car, the Blade XTR will have plenty of power for playtime and the suspension will make sure you keep it on the road. Special attention has been placed an interior details and seating that allow for people who are a bit taller than the average height. Neal has made sure that people with taller upper bodies and heights of 6’4″+  will be able to sit comfortably and enjoy the full experience of a smaller sports car.

 The Future is Now!

BXR Motors understands the necessity to look for alternative ways to provide true performance without being so dependent on fuels and yet stay true to delivering the American made feel, driving experience and styling of the Blade XTR.

BXR is teaming up with several companies to produce a true performance Plug-In Hybrid called the Blade EVR . You can expect the Blade EVR to have all the same special uniqueness and features as the XTR model but deliver its power very differently based on Plug-in Electric Hybrid (PHEV) technology. The drive system will comprise of a 2.5 Turbocharged 4-cyl engine that will be assisted by a Single Electric Drive motor producing 500ft-lbs of torque. The system will work to enhance the power and performance of the 2.5 Turbo engine by allowing the engine to run super efficiently, extending the mileage far beyond any other Hybrid performance vehicle. As battery technology continues to improve Neal’s ultimate goal is to go full electric, zero emissions with extended range that exceed several hundred miles on a single charge and continue to deliver the performance and excitement that drivers seek.
